FACULTY SEARCH, HIRING, AND PROMOTION/TENURE INITIATIVES
- Developed annual training for all faculty search committees on conducting inclusive searches
- Created new training for the Committee on Academic Rank and Tenure (CART) on recognizing and reducing unconscious bias in the promotion and tenure review process
- Updated School of Continuing Education adjunct faculty search position language and implemented new outreach efforts, resulting in a broader pool and recent diverse hires
COLLEGE-WIDE INITIATIVES
- Provided inclusive classroom and pedagogy workshops for new faculty
- IDEI awarded 22 mini-grants to faculty and student organizations for college-wide projects that further advance diversity, equity, and inclusion
SCHOOL-LEVEL INITIATIVES
- The Providence College School of Business has partnered with the Ph.D. Project in mentoring under-represented doctoral students and in diversifying the faculty
- The School of Arts and Sciences Task Force for Faculty Inclusion’s final report from January 2020 included 13 recommendations in review for implementation
- The creation of an online faculty search tool kit was completed in the Spring 2021 semester
- Three cluster faculty hire searches were completed, in support of Black Studie

- The Division of Student Affairs staff diversity has reached 26%, up from 11% in 2015
- Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the admissions office reports enrollment of students of color in the Class of 2024 was 18%, slightly down from the previous year
