Ombudsperson — We want to hear from you!
The Office of Institutional Diversity Equity & Inclusion wants to hear from you! As part of building a beloved community, IDEI would like to know your views and opinions on the college utilizing an ombudsperson.
What is an ombudsperson? An Ombudsperson in higher education is an individual who is authorized by an institution of higher education to confidentially receive complaints, concerns, or inquiries about alleged acts, omissions, improprieties, and/or broader systemic problems within the ombudsman’s defined jurisdiction and to listen, offer options, facilitate resolutions, informally investigate or otherwise examine these issues independently and impartially.
Many institutions across the country utilize an ombudsperson and Providence College wants to hear from you. Want your voice heard about an ombudperson. Email diversity@providence.edu and a member of our team will reach back out to you!
